Terms of Use

Who these terms are between

These terms are between Maintenov, based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and the organisation whose workspace you are using. If you are creating a workspace, you are agreeing to them on behalf of that organisation and confirming you are allowed to.

What you get

Access to the product for your own internal use, for as long as your subscription is current. Managers and technicians occupy paid seats. People who only report problems - by email or through your request link - are free and unlimited, and always will be.

You may not resell access, share a paid seat between two people, or use the service to build a competing product.

What the product is today

Work Manager is the only module built. Six others are designed and unbuilt, and they are marked as such everywhere on this site. You are buying what exists today; anything on the roadmap may change or may never ship, and nothing here is a commitment to deliver it.

File attachments are written but not yet switched on. Until they are, photographs sent by email are named on the work order rather than stored.

Availability

There is no uptime guarantee and no service credit, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it. The service runs on Cloudflare, which is reliable infrastructure, but reliable infrastructure is not a contractual promise and we are not offering one at this stage.

If that is not good enough for your organisation, it is a fair reason not to buy yet, and we would rather you knew now.

Your data is yours

You keep every right in the data you put into the product. We process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics - how many work orders a typical workspace handles, how long a typical job takes - to understand and improve the product. Nothing in that can identify you, your organisation or any individual.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to store unlawful material, to try to reach another customer’s data, to probe or overload the platform, or to take it apart and rebuild it.

You are responsible for what the people in your workspace do with it, and for keeping sign-in credentials to yourself.

Fees

Prices are published on the pricing page. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the period already paid for. Annual plans renew unless you tell us otherwise before the renewal date.

If we change the price, existing customers keep theirs until their next renewal and we will tell you before it.

Ending it

You can stop at any time, from inside the product or by writing to us. We can end an account for non-payment or for a serious breach of the acceptable-use section, and we will tell you why.

Export your data before you go. After deletion it is gone.

Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude - including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Beyond that, and because this is an early product sold cheaply, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Quebec have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

If we change them materially we will tell you in the product before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new version.
